Golden Street is a diamond jewellery brand that specializes in creating elegant light weight jewellery. We draw our expertise and experience from our mother brand, Tanvi Jewellers, which was established in 2003 and is today one of South India’s most renowned diamond jewellery brands. Each piece from Golden street reflects superb craftsmanship and quality standards.
Currently, we have our online portal www.goldenstreet.in and our store in Kolkata

What do I do if I want to see the jewellery before I buy it online?

Where is your jewellery made?

We manufacture our jewellery in-house, where we have specially skilled and experienced craftsmen. Their work is unique and features a high level of creativity. Our jewellery has been created by the best synergy of modern machines and human perfection.

I can't find the piece I wanted on the site any more. Can I still order it?

Does all Golden street diamond jewellery come accompanied with a certificate?

Yes, all our diamond jewellery comes along with appropriate certificates from international gemmological labs like IGI (International gemological institute).

Do you provide customization on jewellery?

In case you wish to customize any product that is showcased on our website or you want to make your own design with your sketch, then we have make our own design option in our shop online main page where you can upload and send us your design with your details . Our team will contact you and based on the feasibility of the modification, we will be glad to customize any product for you. Ships Fast

What is Ships Fast?

At Golden street, we value our customers time and understand that clients may need quick deliveries for special occasions in their lives. Hence we provide a special feature where we dispatch the products within 7 days from the time the order is placed.
We have a separate category on the home page which lists ready to ships products. To ensure that we don’t disappoint you, only orders received between Monday through Thursday by 3 pm will be considered as a Ships Fast order and will be shipped within 4 days.

How do I need to make payments for Ships Fast orders?

You could either pay online using your debit/credit card, net banking, wallets or opt for COD (Cash On Delivery).

What do I do if a product that I select, isn’t available under the Ships Fast category?

You will need to place an order for such a product as a regular product and we will dispatch it within 15 days.

Service

Do you provide repair/servicing for diamond jewellery bought from you?

At Golden street, we offer a complimentary service for one year for jewellery purchased from us.

What is included in the complimentary service?

Every product purchased from Golden street, includes free polishing of jewellery and replacement against any manufacturing defects.

What is not included in the complimentary service?

The complimentary service doesn’t include the cost of replacement of missing gemstones/diamonds due to any wear and tear.

Who will bear the cost of courier when I send a product for repair/service?

The cost of the courier will have to be borne by the client for both to & fro.

Account Registration

Do I need to register to be able to shop on www.goldenstreet.in?

Yes, we strongly recommend that you register on our website as it makes your checkout faster, allows you to track your order, save products that interest you to a short list (which you may access at a later time) and provides a better shopping experience.

What do I do if I forget my Login id & Password?

Please go to the login tab on the landing page of the website, click on Forgot password and enter your email address before submission. Your login id is always your registered email address that you may have used during initial registration. Your temporary password shall be emailed to your registered email address immediately, which you will need to change upon login.

Can I have multiple accounts linked to the same email address?

No, you can have only one account linked to a single e-mail address.

Are the personal details that I have shared with you secure?

We understand that your privacy is important to you and we respect that. We ensure you that we will maintain complete confidentiality of the details that you have shared with us.

What is the difference between Billing Address and Shipping Address?

Billing Address is the address where you would get your invoice/tax invoice. Shipping address is the address where you would receive the shipment.

Refunds

How and when do I get my refund after cancellation?

Upon cancellation or return of the order, the jewellery will be inspected by management and then Golden street will refund the amount by cheque / NEFT within 2 to 3 weeks from the date product is received is received by Golden street.

When will I get my refund?

I was supposed to receive refunds by now, but I have not. What do I do?

How will I receive my refund in case of COD?

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned jewellery, Golden street will refund the amount by cheque / NEFT within 2 to 3 weeks from the date the product is received by Golden street.

Size and Accuracy

How do I understand which finger ring size/bracelet size will fit me? Do you have a size chart?

When ordering a ring or a bracelet, you can choose the size of the bracelet or ring. Do pendants come with the chain?

No, the chain is only for reference purpose and is not included in the price of the pendant you select.

Are the colors of images of the jewellery shown on the website accurate?

At Golden street, we strongly believe in delivering what we showcase on the website. However, due to digital resolutions from screen to screen the image colors change slightly.

Offers

Do you offer any additional discounts?

At Golden street, since we manufacture our own products, we eliminate the margins of the middlemen hence we offer the lowest possible prices to our clients. However, Golden street extends exclusive offers and services to the clients who register themselves on the website. We will be offering different promotional offers from time to time.

Do you sell gift cards or gift certificates?

At this point we do not sell any gift cards/certificates. However, we will be soon introducing this as well.

Return and Exchanging

What is Money back policy?

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product within 30 days for full refund or exchange. Note: If you wish to return the product for any reason, do not remove Tag on the bag / product.

Will you withhold some shipping charges when I return the product within 30 days?

No, we offer free shipping on the product(s) to be returned, within 30 days of purchase. However if the jewellery is found to be tampered, no exchange or refund will be entertained. Product will be returned back to the customer.

Will I have to pay for shipping the product back to you?

What is your Exchange Policy?

We offer a Lifetime Exchange Policy on all purchases made. Bring in your used Golden street jewellery and avail the lifetime exchange facility. Only jewellery bought from Golden street can be exchanged. Exchange price will be determined based on the prevailing diamond and gold prices less 10%. In other words your jewellery will be valued as follows: (Gold value on the date of exchange + Diamond Value on the date of exchange) – 10% with an additional deduction of making charges. This amount will be adjusted against the bills raised on your new purchase. Note: The return value will be determined at Golden street’s discretion, keeping in mind any promo/discount availed at the time of purchase and/or during the time the product being exchanged. For all returns/exchange, we would require the original invoice & certificate(s).

Can I cancel my order?

How do I return the product to golden street within 30days?

In case I change my mind about the size picked up, can I replace the order?

Yes, please call our Customer Support number at 033- 44621000 or send us an e-mail at care@goldenstreet.in. We will be glad to help you. If you want to change the size , then the courier charge for the second product will be bourne by customer.

What do I do if I receive the wrong product?

All our products are shipped to you in Tamper Proof tags. If it is not the product you ordered, please call our Customer Support number at 033- 44621000 or send us an e-mail at care@goldenstreet.in.

The product that I received was damaged and I want to return it. What do I do?

You needn’t worry should you have not noticed any damage after receiving your parcel. Note: If you wish to return the product for any reason, do not remove the Tamper Proof Tag on the bag / product.

What is the return policy?

Diamonds & Jewellery

How do I know if a diamond is genuine?

Diamonds may look similar to the naked eye, yet, only an expert Gemmologist with powerful analytic tools can detect flaws that could make the real difference in terms of value and finish. A gemmological certificate provides the real confidence to the buyer. Hence, all our jewellery comes with a BIS hallmarking logo and an International Gemmological Laboratory certificate.

Which shape gives me the greatest value for my money?

Round Brilliant Cut (RBC) has the most brilliance, and is the most popular. Fancy diamonds look more elegant in larger sizes.

What are Diamond Facets?

Facets are the polished, flat surfaces on a diamond. It is the arrangement of the facets that gives a diamond its lustre & brilliance.

How many facets does a diamond have?

In a Round Brilliant Cut (RBC) there are 57 facets + 1 cu-let, which makes it 58 facets. 32 facets plus the table above the girdle and 24 facets plus the cu-let below the girdle. Some stones with only 18 facets are referred to as “single cuts”.

What is an “Ideal Cut”?

The cut of a diamond does not have a single defined standard, rather it is a set of measurements that determine the relationships between its dimensions, finish and light performance. Whatever the diamond’s shape is, its width and depth determine how light travels inside the diamond.

What does a Carat mean?

‘Carat’ is the unit of measuring the weight of a Diamond. In actual terms, 100 points equals one carat. By a common weight measure, one carat equals to one fifth of a gram.

What are 'synthetic' diamonds?

Synthetic or ‘cultured’ diamonds are created in the laboratory. All synthetic or ‘cultured’ diamonds must legally be declared as such. We at Golden street, use only ‘natural mined diamonds’.

What are 'conflict' diamonds?

Conflict diamonds are diamonds that are mined in many conflict zones in Africa and are illegally sold in order to fund wars, hence earning the name “conflict diamonds” or “blood diamonds”. We strive to assure that every diamond we sell is ‘conflict-free’. We at Golden street take ethical diamond trading seriously. All our diamonds are sourced from reputed suppliers with certifications that ensure the diamonds are conflict free.

Can a diamond break or chip?

Even though diamonds are extremely hard, they can still be damaged from abuse. Diamonds can scratch each other and all other gemstones, such as sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and pearls. You should store your diamonds away from other gemstones in a jewellery box and avoid wearing any valuable gemstones while doing hard work.

Is the jewellery certified?

All our jewellery is BIS hallmarked by government recognized assayers and certified by international gemmological laboratories. Every Golden street product will have the BIS Logo, 750 mark which identifies 18k Gold, Golden street ‘s logo and the mark of the assaying centre.

Does Golden street provides hallmarked jewellery?

Yes, every piece of jewellery at Golden street is a BIS hallmarked product.

Diamond Certification Questions

What is jewellery certification?

Jewellery certification is the gemmological analysis of your diamonds & gold characteristics and components. Analysis is done in an independent international laboratory by certified gemmologists. Once the analysis is complete, you will receive a certificate with all the product descriptions and photograph on it.

What is the benefit of getting a jewellery certificate?

The jewellery certificate assures buyers of the quality and authenticity of their diamond(s) and gold. If you later decide to sell your jewellery, having the certificate will provide the stamp of authenticity you’ll need to get a fair price. Having the certificate may even add value to your jewel.

Why is diamond certification important?

Today there are artificial diamonds and treatments used to enhance the colour and purity of diamonds. Treatments have become so sophisticated that even your diamond dealer/retailer will not be able to detect them without advanced laboratory equipment, thus, diamond certificates safeguard your purchase.

What is outlined in the jewellery certificate?

At Golden street, our certificate will include the following information:
• Color
• Clarity
• Cut
• Carat weight
• The diamond’s shape
• Gold caratage
• Picture of the product

I lost my jewellery certificate, can I get a duplicate?

Order, Order Status, Shipping, Packaging & Payment

How can I know the status of my order?

You can use your login credentials under My Account and check the status of your order. If you have not registered previously then contact our Customer Support number at 033- 44621000 or send us an e-mail at support@goldenstreet.in and we would be glad to assist you.

What happens if my order is lost in transit?

Golden street offers free insurance on all purchases, during transit, so that your purchase is 100% safe. Though it would be rare that a product is lost in transit, should this happen we would notify you and process a new order for you or refund your money based on your request.

Where do you deliver within India?

Please key in your pin code on the product page to determine if the shipment is possible in your location. For security reasons, Golden street ships to valid street addresses only.

I live outside India. Can I order for something to be delivered in India?

Yes, you could make a payment online and provide a shipping address. You cannot avail COD for such transactions.

Do I need to pay shipping/delivery charges?

Golden street provides free delivery/shipping on all items within India.

How soon will I receive my order?

All the successful orders placed on Golden street will be shipped to the customer within 15 business days.

Can I send gifts to my loved ones?

Yes, you can send any of the products available on www.goldenstreet.in as gifts to your loved ones. However, you cannot avail COD for such transactions and the payment needs to be made upfront. However we do not provide a different packaging for gifts.

How will the delivery be done?

We process the delivery only through a reputed logistics company – Criticalog.

How safe is my product?

Your jewellery is shipped in durable, tamper-proof packing that ensures that the contents remain intact. Your jewellery is fully insured till it reaches your doorstep, and we only work with reputed and established courier services like Critica log. Please do not accept any package that has been tampered with. Kindly note: The packaging and dispatch of all products from Golden street shipping centre has been recorded by dedicated cameras and archived. This has been designed for security reasons, to protect the interest of the buyer and Golden street.

Does Golden street deliver internationally?

Currently we do not ship internationally.

Can I change my shipping address after I have place an order?

For security reasons and keeping customer safety in mind, we do not allow any change in shipping address once the order is placed. If we have received the payment, then we can change the address before the dispatch of courier but the customer will have to mail us at care@goldenstreet.in from their registered email address.

How is my jewellery packaged?

All jewellery from Golden street meant for door-delivery shall be packed in tamper-proof, high quality material. The jewellery shall be delivered to you in an Golden street box along with the relevant authentication certificates and invoices.

What should I do if the product delivered is damaged?

We recommend you to contact our customer support number at 033- 44621000 or send us a picture of the jewellery at support@goldenstreet.in within 24 hours from the delivery time and our team will arrange for the product to be picked up along with the original packaging material, invoice and product certificates. Note: If you wish to return the product for any reason, do not remove the Tamper Proof Tag on the bag/product.

Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available for my location (Pin code)?

What is Cash on Delivery (COD)?

Cash on Delivery (COD) is a payment method where you pay for product(s) received in cash, when the courier company delivers the item to you.

How do I cancel my order if I have ordered through Cash on delivery?

How does COD work?

You place an order on www.goldenstreet.in. Check for COD facility by entering your area pin code in the text box. Choose COD option if available and complete the order placement. You pay the complete amount in cash to the logistics company once the product is delivered to you. Please remember payment through cheque, draft or any other means will not be accepted by the logistics company.

Is there any additional charge for the COD shipment?

No, there is no additional charges for COD shipments.

Is there any limit on COD shipments?

As per government regulations COD orders are allowed up to INR 49,000/- only.

How long will it take for me to receive the product through COD?

All the successful orders placed on Golden street will be shipped to the customer within 15 business days. For security reasons, Golden street ships to valid street addresses only.

Can I place as many orders as I wish by way of COD?

Yes, as per government regulations up to a maximum of INR 49000/-. Also, if it exceeds INR 49000/- you could place the orders independently.

How do I make a payment for an Golden street purchase?

Golden street has partnered with atom as a payment gateway partner. Customers can pay for their purchases with Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net banking. And also by choosing the COD option by paying cash to the logistics company up on delivery of your shipment.

Are there any hidden costs?

At Golden street we believe in being transparent with our customers, hence there are no hidden charges.

Are prices on Golden street subject to change?

Yes, due to the gold price fluctuation the price might vary on a daily basis.

How do I pay using a Credit/Debit card and is it safe?

We accept Visa, Master Card & Amex cards. You will need to key in the below details in the payment page:
• Your Full Name appearing on the card
• 16-digit Credit/Debit Card number
• 3 digit CVV Code (Card Verification Value – found on the back of the card)
• Complete the payment flow by entering the OTP (One Time Password) number to get the payment confirmation.

What is the option if no one is at home when the courier person comes?

Usually, the courier company will call you before delivering the shipment. For your protection, all orders require your/consignee’s signature upon delivery. To ensure that your courier reaches you smoothly. One should share:
• A valid mobile number or landline number.
• An alternate phone number.
• Correct address and landmark. This will help the logistics company locate you easily and complete the process faster.

My transaction failed but money was deducted from my account. What do I do?

Please get in touch with your credit / debit card company to validate if the payment was credited to Golden street. If no, claim for a refund from the credit/debit card company. If yes, please call our Customer Support number at 033- 44621000 or send us an e-mail at support@goldenstreet.in and we would initiate a refund.

What are the reasons that my credit/debit card may get refused?

Debit & credit card companies refuse authorization of cards for specific reasons such as the points mentioned below. Please contact the respective debit/credit card issuing bank for further clarifications.
• The card number and/or other details of the card entered is/are not valid (sometimes a typographical error)
• The card does not have sufficient balance to make the payment of your order
• The card expiration date is not entered correctly (sometimes a typographical error)
